• Fits on to the electrodes and keeps them in contact with the electrolytic solution • Watertight system which avoids evaporation and salt deposits • Borosilicate glass • With screw cap and watertight seal • Indelible ring mark which indicates the maximum level for the electrolytic product
• Made of ABS and steel • Excellent stability thanks to its support with metal base • Specially designed for working at different heights and in different positions • 360° rotation • Extremity of the arm with devices for coupling both 2 electrodes of ø 16 mm, 2 electrodes of ø 14 mm and a temperature probe of ø 0.5 mm • Length of each arm: 215 mm
Connections: • for the electrode with integrated T° sensor A 157, a connection with multiple contacts called ''SMEK'' is necessary. 1 m and 3 m cables are available for DIN or BNC plug devices; • for the electrodes without T° integrated, there are models with moulded cable and screw head models. The moulded cables are available according to the table with a DIN or BNC plug. The screw heads have to be completed by a ''L plug'' cable with a DIN or BNC plug. The ''L plug'' corresponds to what users often refer to as ''S 7'' or ''S''.
Features of the SCHOTT Instruments electrodes: • all these models are filled with an electrolyte liquid: KCl 3 mol/l solution; • the Platinum wire junction (illustration below) offers a better circulation of the KCI solution than a ceramic junction. There is virtually no clogging and it prevents products entering the electrode's reference compartment. All this contributes to a greater life of the electrode. It is advisable to always leave the filler cap open, even between measurements. While ensuring that the level of KCI solution is maintained, it will cause a light but steady flow which cleans the junction.
