Effective during all radioisotope decontamination procedures commonly used in nuclear medicine (Technetium Tc 99, Thallium Tl 201, Gallium Ga 67, Indium In 111, Iode I 131), in research laboratories (Carbone C 14, Chrome Cr 51, Tritium T 3, Iode I 125, Phosphore P 32, Xenon Xe 131, Yttrium Y90)
Ingredients: surfactants: anionic and non-ionic surfactants, chelating agents, propellant stabilisers: butane / propane mixture
• Odourless white foam
• pH = 7
• Biodegradable
• Preserves the ozone layer
• Compatible with all types of Material: stainless steel, aluminum, zinc, plastics, rubber, glass ...
Applications:
• For cleaning and decontamination of radioactivity on difficult surfaces
• To treat all surfaces that can not undergo a soaking phase because they are small or inaccessible
• Also effective on surfaces where contamination is very localised
Properties:
• Detergent and degreaser: the foam removes all kinds of contaminated dirt and grease
• Decontamination of radioactivity: sequestrants drop off and take the radioisotopes attached to all types of media, forming easily removable water-soluble metal complexes
Use:
• Spray directly onto the surface to be decontaminated
• Shake the aerosol before use and spray the product in short bursts
• Leave for a few moments, when the bubbles disappear, wipe with a single use cloth
• Check the level of residual contamination and repeat if necessary
• Decontamination solutions should be collected and stored in tanks and containers provided for this purpose
