Depends on the application.
• Examples of applications
• Degassing of liquids < 500 mPa.s: radial flow stirring rod
• Homogenisation and suspension in liquids < 500 mPa.s: propeller or paddle type stirring rod
• Medium with viscosity < 500 mPa.s: anchor type stirring rod, BR 13 paddle stirring rod or VISCO JET®
• Gel agitation: VISCO JET®
To achieve optimal mixing results, it is also necessary to respect:
• Position of the stirring tool:
- in the centre
- distance to the bottom (h3/d2): 0.3
- Ø Container (h1/d1): 1.0
- VISCO JET® Ø ratio (d2/d1): 0,4 - 0,6
• Peripheral speed:
- 3 - 15 m/s: radial flow stirring rod
- 2 - 5 m/s: VISCO JET®, paddle and anchor type stirring rods
