The CAS number is a unique identifier for each chemical substance. It is assigned by the Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), a division of the American Chemical Society. The CAS number allows substances to be distinguished according to their degree of hydration, their isomers, enantiomers or degree of polymerisation, where applicable. This guarantees a precise search and unique identification of the molecule you are looking for.
If you do not have the CAS number or if the search does not return satisfactory results, you can use the chemical name of the molecule. It is recommended that you use the international nomenclature to obtain more accurate results, although the common name can also be used.
Once you have completed your search, several filters will appear on the left-hand side of the page. By selecting the criteria that match your needs, you can refine your selection of chemical products. Here are the main filters:
1. CAS number
When you search by name or keyword, CAS numbers associated with your search will be suggested. Simply select the correct CAS number to confirm the exact molecule.
2. Grade and Application
There are different grades or qualities with different specifications for different applications. Here are the main grades available and their specific uses:
3. Volume and Concentration
Finalise your search by specifying additional information, such as volume, concentration, product brand and container material.
